4. Product Telemetry and Analytics Cookies
AskVerdict uses core product telemetry to monitor reliability, understand feature performance, and investigate operational issues. This telemetry remains active as part of operating the Service.
We also use optional analytics cookies that you can control via cookie preferences. Optional analytics help us measure website usage patterns and improve UX.
Information collected through analytics includes:
- Page views and navigation patterns
- Feature usage frequency and click events

- Referral source (how you found AskVerdict)

Invite and Referral Attribution
When invite links or referral codes are used, AskVerdict may store short-lived attribution identifiers in cookies or local storage so the referral can be validated during sign-up or redemption. These identifiers are used for fraud prevention and reward eligibility, not cross-site advertising.

- Debate configuration defaults (preferred AI models, agent count)

Preference data is stored locally on your device using browser local storage and does not leave your device unless explicitly synced to your account settings.

Some cookies on AskVerdict may be set by third-party services we integrate with:
- Stripe: Payment processing cookies for secure checkout and fraud prevention

We do not allow third-party advertising cookies on AskVerdict. We do not sell your data to advertisers, participate in ad exchanges, or use tracking cookies for cross-site behavioral advertising or retargeting.

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you do not want to be tracked. There is currently no uniform industry standard for interpreting DNT signals. Our platform does not currently respond to DNT browser signals, but we limit tracking to the analytics and essential purposes described in this policy.
We will update this policy if a universal DNT standard is established and adopted.
